Can't find where my original questions were posted, so will try again. First, will we need to take something a little nicer for the presentations or special programs? Second, will there be somewhere to do laundry? If not, do you have any idea how much the hotel might charge? Next, you mentioned we might want to bring another suitcase to bring back stuff we buy. One place said our luggage can only be 70 pounds. Will this be the same coming home? Last, on the tip money- does it need to be 112 one dollar bills (US) or does the demomination, such as $5, $10 or $20 matter? I want to do everything correctly. I am going to weigh my suitcases tonight! I would rather bring less clothes and bring back more stuff- I'm so excited. Now I can focus completely on the trip and getting ready. No more school business- for now....

I usually post it under comments. So answering your questions.... you could wear dress or a skirt if you want for special programs, but it's not necessary, a lot of people you will see will be coming from a previouse tour with their shorts and shirt. There will be laundry option in the hotel, but there is a charge (each hotel fee is different), that's why I would recommend bringing light clothing and washing it yourself in your hotel room. About the suitcase, it's best to buy only what you can carry back, if necessary you can buy a suitcase in China. I want to make the correction of 70 lb, it's actually 50 lb. For the tip it's probably better to put it in smaller bills, such as $1, $5, and $10.
ReplyDeleteI will start another comment on the blog regarding ludgae size, but you should only plan on having one 50lb bag as a check in bag since we are going to go on domestic flight.
Happy packing...
Just weighed bag and is coming in around 36 pounds. Still have a few things to add but am glad I am under the 50. Concerning purchasing, I was advised, "buy jade"! Cool!
