Ready...Set...PACK

Hey Everyone:

I'm glad you guys are making this blog your home base for this tour, I was hoping it will get noticed and used before the tour. I want to make a announcement regarding your baggage, there might be an error regarding what I put down earlier for the weight of the check in luggage.

Based on the domestic flight regulation you could bring one checked in luggage, which is less than 50lb, now if you want to bring more stuff you can still bring it but just keep in mind that will have to be a carry on. Once you have arrived to Shanghai you can bring more stuff on the international airline when you are traveling back to America, so you can purchase what ever you couldn't buy in the other cities in Shanghai. But there are things that only the other cities sell (specialty items), so I would recommend bring less stuff when you go to China, and bring more stuff you might possibly want. If you are going with a friend it might be a good idea to split who brings the toothpaste, shampoo/condition, hair gel, spray, curling iron, hair dryer...... those stuff by itself doesn't seem like much but when they are together they weight a ton. And as for clothing the less you bring the easier your packing will be, and the less chance you will loose anything in the hotel.

Here is a sample list of clothing, items I might bring...as an example
1. 4 tops (very light, different color)
2. 1 pair of shorts
3. 1 pair of Capri (different color from my shorts)
4. 1 long sleeve zip up sweater
5. 1 pair of jeans/long pants
6. 1 skirt (light, that will match with at least 2 of my tops)
8. poncho (it's much better than umbrella as you can climb a wall if it rains)
9. suntan lotion (MUST BRING)
10. medication or travel kit for 2 weeks (bandage....)
*They will have toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, soap, shampoo/conditioner in the hotel, so that is your choice.

So that's the basic idea for what to bring on the trip, just keep in mind what ever you have to bring, you also have to pack every time you leave for the hotel, and unpack when ever you go to a hotel. So don't bring anything that is too valuable, and the less the better.

Happy Packing:D

Jennifer - your know it all traveler:D
